Idaho lawmakers recently passed a $50 million program that uses tax dollars to fund private school tuition. Some lawmakers want to see the program expanded to $339 million a year, amounting to over $3 billion in taxpayer funds over the next decade.

Join Save Our Schools Idaho for a Town Hall discussion on June 5 at 6:30 p.m. in the Burley Public Library about the harms of expanding this program.

The discussion will be moderated by Quinn Perry, Deputy Director for the Idaho School Boards Association. Panelists will include Luke Schroeder, Kimberly School District Superintendent, Chris James, Finance Director for the Cassia County School District, and Marta Hernandez, Burley Middle School Social Studies Teacher.

Attendees can submit questions for our panelists ahead of time or at the event. This event is free and open to the public. Please RSVP to let us know you can make it.

*The leaders and elected officials serving as panelists will speak only on their own behalf and not on behalf of their districts or their organizations. Event locations are gathering places, not sponsors or demonstrating support of views express during the Town Halls.
