Idaho lawmakers recently passed a $50 million program that uses tax dollars to fund private school tuition. Some lawmakers want to see the program expanded to $339 million a year, amounting to over $3 billion in taxpayer funds over the next decade.
Join Save Our Schools Idaho for a Town Hall discussion on June 7 at 3 p.m. in the Jerome Public Library about the harms of expanding this program.
The town hall will be moderated by Teton School District Trustee Martin Balben. The panelists will include Madison School District Trustee Brian Pyper, Madison School District Superintendent Randy Lords, Sugar Salem School District Superintendent Jared Jenks, and Madison School District Teacher of 33 years and Reading Coach Mary Robinson.
Attendees can submit questions for our panelists ahead of time or at the event. This event is free and open to the public. Please RSVP to let us know you can make it.
*The leaders and elected officials serving as panelists will speak only on their own behalf and not on behalf of their districts or their organizations. Event locations are gathering places, not sponsors or demonstrating support of views express during the Town Halls.
